On a Sunday in May, thousands of people in Escondido flowed past large banners featuring Paramahansa Yogananda's image, and tables stocked with SRF books in English and Spanish. The EMC was among some 600 businesses and organizations that had set up booths at the Escondido Street Faire. Dozens of passers-by stopped to ask about SRF. Center members told them about Master's mission, and provided free literature, including schedules of EMC services and activities. According to organizers, tens of thousands of people came to Grand Avenue on May 17 to enjoy the event, which is held each year in May and October.
