Please take a moment to silence your cell phones and other electronic devices.
Please join us for refreshments after this morning's service-a hot drink and some goodies in our cozy kitchen!
A special commemorative service will be held here this evening from 7-8:30 to honor the Mahasamadhi of our Guru, Paramahansa Yogananda. "Mahasamadhi" means great ecstasy, a yogi's final conscious exit from the physical body. Please bring a flower and donation in an envelope, symbols of your devotion and loyalty. Those devotees who need to leave early may do so after making their flower offering, so as not to disturb those who wish to remain in meditation until the conclusion of the service at 8:30 p.m. The regularly scheduled three-hour evening meditation is canceled.
Another special commemorative service will take place here on Tuesday, March 9, from 7-8:30 p.m. to honor the Mahasamadhi of our Paramguru, Swami Sri Yukteswar. Again, please bring a flower and a donation in an envelope, symbols of your devotion and loyalty to God and the SRF Gurus.
Our monthly Fellowship Brunch and Bazaar will be held here next Sunday, March 14, immediately following the regular 10 a.m. Sunday service. As always, kids eat free!
Hidden Valley Ashram Center will host a conducted weekend program for men. "Kriyaban Discipleship" is the theme of the retreat to be held next Friday, March 12, through Sunday, March 14. Please see the flyer with details, and contact Hidden Valley by phone or email to make your reservation.
Please note: There are a few chairs in our overflow room for devotees to examine and try out. They have been modified and leveled for more comfort, and we want to hear your opinions at our next General Membership meeting. Ribbons are tied to the chairs so you can easily find them.
An Easter card for our beloved president, Sri Daya Mata, and other monastics, can be signed in the Hospitality Room this morning and through March 28.
This morning's topic is "The Eternal Blessings of a True Guru," and our minister is Brother Sarvananda.
